As CPA and financial advisory firm Casey Peterson, LTD continues to grow, it’s also continuing to expand its leadership team.
CPA DeShayne Hoag was recently promoted to a shareholder and is also now the firm’s chief operating officer. Previously, Hoag was the director of the firm’s audit team. She will continue to work with some audit clients while managing leaders of HR, administration, and finance.
“In this new role, I will be involved in the firm’s operations — and working with all of our team members — in an entirely different way,” Hoag said. “I’m truly excited about the firm's future and the chance to be a part of it.”
Hoag has been with Casey Peterson since 2012. She graduated from Black Hills State University with a bachelor of science in business administration with a double emphasis in accounting and management.
During her 12 years with the firm, Hoag gained extensive audit experience in sectors including government, nonprofit, and multifamily housing. She also serves on the Young Professionals Advisory Council of the South Dakota CPA Society.
Hoag, originally from Pierre, lives in Rapid City with her husband, Brad, and two children, Myles and Amelia.
“I’m excited to have DeShayne in this position and for the skills she brings to it,” said Mark Lyons, managing shareholder and president. “For the firm, I’m looking forward to having a COO, and I remain incredibly excited about where we’re headed.”
