Join us in welcoming one of our newest team members at Casey Peterson, LTD, Janine Kessler. She joined us as an administrative assistant in mid-June as part of our Administrative team.

Janine says her fellow staffers have made her feel welcome and that she appreciates that it’s never boring around the office, since there’s something different every day.

In her role, Janine provides support for several areas, answering the phone and providing information to clients. She works diligently to make sure clients feel comfortable and welcomed and to understand their needs.

Previously, Janine was a library and school secretary with the Rapid City Area School District and had also been an administrative assistant for the Boise School District Special Education Program. She also has six years of banking experience.

After growing up on a small farm in central Washington, Janine earned her general associate’s degree from Dakota College at Bottineau in North Dakota. She’s been married for 28 years and has a 25-year-old daughter.

After living in England for four years, Janine caught the travel bug. She also enjoys going to concerts and a good happy hour.

FAVORITE QUOTE

“Be fearlessly authentic.”

FAVORITE BOOKS AND PODCAST

I enjoy wellness books (“Growing Strong”), any Danielle Steele books, and Joann Gaines (“The Magnolia Story”).

THREE QUESTIONS:

WHAT’S THE BEST CONCERT YOU’VE EVER BEEN TO?

My first concert was Rick Springfield at a county fair in 1982/83. It is at the top of my list of shows, and I have many memories from that show. Others at the top of my list are Garth Brooks and the Band Perry. There was so much energy at those shows, and they played for hours.

WHO INSPIRES YOU?

My grandparents (on both sides). My paternal grandparents owned an apple orchard. They had an intellectual disabled child. My maternal grandparents farmed and had seven children (one was also intellectually disabled). Both sets were very loving and knew what hard work was. If they were struggling, no one knew it. They taught me about work ethic, perseverance, and to constantly try to better myself.

IF YOU COULD VISIT ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD YOU GO AND WHY?

Italy and the Northeast United States. We never made it Italy when we were stationed in England. I would love to visit Italy because of the culture, history, food, and wine. I also want to see the Northeast United States in the fall for the color changing of the leaves and food.

DON'T LIKE NUMBERS? WE DO.

At Casey Peterson, LTD, we understand not everyone loves the complexities of accounting like we do. That's what sets us apart from the rest. Our CPAs, accountants, and financial advisors truly love numbers, solving problems, and creating business and financial strategies for our clients.

We’re looking for clients who believe in good customer service — clients who want CPAs, accountants, and financial advisors who are big-picture thinkers and ethical problem solvers. We’re looking for relationships, not transactions.

If you want the same, we should talk.
