We're looking for a full-time human resources manager to join our team.

POSITION SUMMARY

The human resources manager works with the firm administrator and business owners to advance organizational goals. The manger is responsible for developing the firm’s overall human resources strategy for employee recruitment, retention, compensation, and benefits. This position requires strong leadership, communication, team building, and project management skills.

ESSENTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinates with the firm administrator to determine future staffing needs
  • Establishes long term plans for recruitment
  • Develops recruiting plans for new employees and retention plans for current employees, including university recruitments and events sponsored by the firm
  • Makes recommendations for new hires, reassignments, corrective actions, and promotions
  • Develops annual salary budget as part of the firm’s overall annual budget
  • Reviews annual salary ranges for managerial review by remaining current with local and national salary surveys
  • Sets objectives for and supervises bi-annual performance review process
  • Coordinates any firm bonus and/or incentive programs
  • Oversees the annual review of employee benefits
  • Provides advice regarding interpretation and application of human resources policies and procedures, state, and federal laws

ADDITONAL FUNCTONS

  • Oversees human resource activities involving payroll administration, records retention, employee files and firm guidelines
  • Recommends review and updates to all firm policies and procedures
  • Participates in and proposes firm activities to enhance and reinforce the firm’s culture and values
  • Promotes the firm’s involvement in the community and volunteer activities
  • Assists and coaches managers to provide employees with fair and consistent administration of compensation and benefits

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors or higher degree in human resources, labor relations, organizational development or business administration. Equivalent combination of related education and experience may be considered.
  • Five to seven years in human resources is required.
  • Current certifications preferred:
    • Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional
    • Society for Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional or
    • Professional or Senior Professional in Human Resources
  • Continued certification and participation in training opportunities.
  • Computer proficiency including Word, Excel, Payroll programs.
  • Ability to occasionally lift fifteen pounds.
  • Ability to drive a vehicle.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Able to occasionally work hours outside of regular workday.

Salary will be determined by knowledge, skills, and experience.
