Meet the Team | Preston Mackey

Join us in welcoming one of our newest team members at Casey Peterson, LTD, Preston Mackey. He joined us at the beginning of September as a senior associate.

Currently, Preston’s working on our ag team and primarily focused on tax and accounting services. Previously, he worked in public accounting for about two and a half years after graduating with his bachelor’s degree in public accounting from the University of Wyoming.

Preston was born in Colorado but primarily grew up in Gillette on his family’s cattle ranch. He took an accounting course in high school and knew that was what he wanted to pursue.

He says he’s enjoying the firm’s friendly, laid-back environment and that everyone is willing to “help you learn and grow.”

In his free time, Preston’s usually doing something that involves hanging out with dogs, family, or horses. Or he’s working at his family’s ranch. He also tries to go to the gym a few days a week.
