Meet The Team | Mercy Culver

Join us in welcoming one of our newest team members at Casey Peterson, LTD, Mercy Culver. She joined us in early December, first as a temporary administrative assistant and now as a full-time one.

In her role, Mercy runs the front desk, greeting clients, making sure team members know their appointments are here, answering the phone, making appointments, checking the mail, assigning information dropped off to the right staffer, etc.

Mercy strives to make clients feel comfortable and welcome when they come in. She says she wants our clients to know that we care about them and understand the services they’re receiving. For Mercy, who gets that not every place creates that same caring environment, a good first impression is what it’s all about.

Previously, she worked for a couple of coffee shops in town, so she understands what great customer experience means.

When she’s not busy running the front desk, Mercy plays city league volleyball and helps co-lead a volleyball small group at her church, Bethel Church. Her dad is the pastor at Bethel, so she’s also heavily involved there with the different types of groups and outreach.

She also enjoys anything that gets her around her friends and out of her house. She loves outside or doing an activity — whether that’s playing SpikeBall (a personal favorite), volleyball, skateboarding, biking, or being at the lake. Mercy also enjoys art — like painting and drawing. She’s also content to hang out and enjoy a quiet afternoon watching her favorite shows.

FAVORITE QUOTES

“Life is 10 percent what you experience and 90 percent how you respond to it.” —Dorothy M. Neddermeyer

FOUR QUESTIONS:

WHAT ARE TWO ITEMS ON YOUR BUCKET LIST?

Travel to Iceland and go to my favorite artist’s concert.

WHAT’S YOUR SECRET TALENT THAT NO ONE KNOWS ABOUT?

I play the bass guitar. I began learning to help out our worship band at my church, and from there, it became something I enjoyed and wanted to do more often.

WHO INSPIRES YOU?

My mom. She is physically disabled — has been since I was 4 years old. Degenerative Disc Disease. She is always in pain but always has a smile on her face. She sees the good in all. She is positive, hopeful, optimistic, and strong, and inspires me so much to always see the good in any situation.

WHAT MOVIE CAN YOU WATCH A MILLION TIMES?

“P.S. I Love You” with Hilary Swank and Gerard Butler. I’m a sucker for a good romance.

DON'T LIKE NUMBERS? WE DO.

At Casey Peterson, LTD, we understand not everyone loves the complexities of accounting like we do. That's what sets us apart from the rest. Our CPAs, accountants, and financial advisors truly love numbers, solving problems, and creating business and financial strategies for our clients.

We’re looking for clients who believe in good customer service — clients who want CPAs, accountants, and financial advisors who are big-picture thinkers and ethical problem solvers. We’re looking for relationships, not transactions.

If you want the same, we should talk.
