Meet The Team | Dana Pelky

Join us in welcoming one of our newest team members at Casey Peterson, LTD, Dana Pelky. She joined us in mid-July on our Healthcare team.
Dana is working for our firm remotely out of Wisconsin. She likes having genuinely friendly coworkers who care about clients and want to help in any way they can.
With a degree in math and 18 years of experience, Dana says she feels like the world of Medicare cost reports chose her, rather than her choosing it as a profession.
She’s worked for two different Fiscal Intermediaries/MACs, completing tentative settlements, desk reviews, and audits of Medicare and Medicaid cost reports. Dana also briefly prepared Medicare and Medicare cost reports for nursing homes and then did another brief stint identifying the Medicare bad debts hospitals can claim on their cost report.
In her free time, Dana enjoys listening to and playing music. She especially loves going to concerts. She also likes fishing with her husband, Scott, and son, Eli, who is 15. Dana also stays busy helping a local animal rescue, interacting with her three cats —Jewel, Gemma, and Otto — and working part time at The Genesee Theatre in Waukeegan, Illinois.

THREE QUESTIONS:
WHAT’S THE BEST CONCERT YOU’VE EVER BEEN TO?
Night Ranger, October 18, 2018, in Waukeegan, Illinois. They played their first two albums in their entirety and played other deep cuts between albums. I also got to work that show and interact with the band members and crew backstage. I love every Night Ranger show I go to, but that one topped them all. Of course, the last Styx show I went to was great, too. I’ll stop there.
WHAT’S THE BEST MEAL YOU’VE EVER HAD?
Any meal I’ve had at Bob Chinn’s Crab House in Wheeling, IL, and I don’t even like crab. I usually get the swordfish, blackened. It’s delicious!
IF YOU COULD BE ANY ANIMAL, WHICH WOULD YOU BE?
I would want to be a cat. Specifically, one of my spoiled cats.

At Casey Peterson, LTD, we understand not everyone loves the complexities of accounting like we do. That's what sets us apart from the rest. Our CPAs, accountants, and financial advisors truly love numbers, solving problems, and creating business and financial strategies for our clients.
We’re looking for clients who believe in good customer service — clients who want CPAs, accountants, and financial advisors who are big-picture thinkers and ethical problem solvers. We’re looking for relationships, not transactions.
If you want the same, we should talk.
