Meet The Team | Caroline Mulder

Join us in welcoming one of our newest team members at Casey Peterson, LTD, Caroline Mulder. She joined us at the beginning of January as an Audit Associate on our Nonprofit and Government team.

Caroline graduated from the University of South Dakota in December with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. During her last semester, she interned at the Vermillion Area Chamber and Development Company in their finance department.

Caroline grew up on a dairy farm outside Orange City, Iowa, with her five older siblings. When she was 14, her parents sold the cows and bought a bakery, where she worked her first real job. Caroline started her higher education career at South Dakota State University, changing majors a few times before taking her first accounting class. SDSU didn’t offer an accounting major, so she took a year off to make sure accounting was what she wanted to pursue. Caroline then attended a local community college and earned her associate’s degree in accounting before completing her bachelor’s at USD.

In her free time, she enjoys reading, watching Netflix, training her dog, and cooking. She’d also like to take advantage of the Black Hills and start hiking.

FAVORITE QUOTES

“Today you are you, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is you-er than you.” — Dr. Seuss

“The way I see it, if you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain.” — Dolly Parton

FAVORITE BOOKS

“Spilled Milk,” “Homegoing,” and “Tattooist of Auschwitz”; none of them are professional books, but all of them are excellent, and I highly recommend them.

THREE QUESTIONS:

WHAT’S THE BEST CONCERT YOU’VE EVER BEEN TO?

The best concert I ever attended would have to Five Finger Death Punch and Shinedown. Both bands put on such great performances.

WHAT ARE TWO ITEMS ON YOUR BUCKET LIST?

Travel the world and adopt all the dogs at a local shelter

IF YOU COULD VISIT ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD YOU GO AND WHY?

I would love to travel and visit the whole world but especially Europe. There is so much history and so many different cultures. If I could splurge on a vacation and only pick one place, I think I would go to Iceland.

DON'T LIKE NUMBERS? WE DO.

At Casey Peterson, LTD, we understand not everyone loves the complexities of accounting like we do. That's what sets us apart from the rest. Our CPAs, accountants, and financial advisors truly love numbers, solving problems, and creating business and financial strategies for our clients.

We’re looking for clients who believe in good customer service — clients who want CPAs, accountants, and financial advisors who are big-picture thinkers and ethical problem solvers. We’re looking for relationships, not transactions.

If you want the same, we should talk.
