If you have employees making minimum wage in South Dakota, their wages will increase to $10.80 an hour starting Jan. 1, 2023.
Earlier in 2022, we wrote about how that change will affect wages employees worked in 2022 but don’t get paid for until 2023.
Also, for tipped employees, the hourly minimum wage will increase from $4.975 an hour to $5.40.
Keep in mind that there are exemptions for seasonal employees, babysitters, and outside salespeople.
