Casey Peterson,CPA, AEP, PFS

Founder, Shareholder

We want to introduce our founder, Casey Peterson. His goal in 1977, and to date, was to interact with his clients and fellow workers with a trusting and superior care. He drives his leadership and service from a compassionate and family-valued orientation.

Casey has extensive experience in business as an owner, investor, and Board of Directors member for closely-held and publicly-held entities. With over 40 years' experience, his skills include all aspects of taxation, business transactions and succession, wealth accumulation, and personal financial planning. Industry exposures includes agriculture, healthcare, real estate, financial services, and closely-held family businesses.

A high honors graduate at the University of South Dakota Business School, he passed the CPA exam in one attempt. Having family and deep roots back to the 1800s in the Western Dakota Territory, he returned to Rapid City to start a firm with the thought that there was a “better way” to do business in relating to employees and clients.

When not at the firm, he serves on the boards of public organizations, committees, and foundations. Outside that, he loves spending time with his family, studying family roots, and exploring The Old West on horseback. As part of his public service, he enjoys studying the high-energy physics experiments being conducted at Sanford Underground Research Facility located at the former Homestake Gold Mine in Lead, SD.
