Meet our newest client manager, Nathaniel Jones, who’s based in our Chadron office. He over-achieved and answered all 15 questions!

- What’s your title? Client Manager
- When did you start? November 18, 2025, though I did work for GLR from December 2015 through November 2018
- What do you do here? Personal and business income taxes
- Where did you or do you go to school, and if you got a degree, what was it in? Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Chadron State College
- What did you do before you came to the firm? I previously worked for Gardner, Loutzenhiser & Ryan from 2015 to 2018 before my wife and I moved to Omaha. I worked for a few firms before we moved back to western Nebraska in 2022.
- Do you belong to any professional or community organization? Tell us about them. My wife and I are members of the young adult group at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Chadron.
- What did you want to be when you grew up? I always enjoyed numbers, so I knew I would probably be a CPA. I also thought being a fireman would be fun as a kid.
- What do you do for fun? I really enjoy hunting, fishing, hiking, or anything to do with the outdoors. I also enjoy watching the Huskers and Indianapolis Colts play football. I have four kids with ages ranging from a newborn to six years old, and I love spending time with them.
- What’s your favorite book? “Goodnight Moon.” I’ve read it 1,000 times to my kids. Not much of a reader otherwise.
- What’s your favorite podcast? “The Bible in a Year” by Father Mike Schmitz and Ascension Press
- What’s your favorite movie? “Oh Brother Where Art Thou?”
- Who’s your favorite band? Merle Haggard
- What’s your favorite song? Ramblin Fever
- What’s on your bucket list? We recently purchased a few acres and are planning to build our own house. This is something I’ve always wanted to accomplish.
