Also, you get real-time information about your finances. Another benefit is that when a new version of QuickBooks comes out, your software’s updated automatically. So, unlike the desktop version, you don’t need to buy a new product. Your accountant or financial professional can also access your books remotely at any time.

The downsides to the online version are that you can’t access your books if you don’t have an internet connection. Also, customers could experience slow access if the server gets overloaded, and you can’t customize certain functions, like payroll.
